Just hanging out

Isn't she precious? She loves her Taggie blanket so much. I should probably buy stock or something:) She owns about 5 of them, but this is her favorite.

We were thinking of using this as the Time Out chair. But of course she likes to play on it! I know some of you are thinking Time Out chair for a 1 year old. Let me introduce you to Carlee Jane Carpenter; "Stinker Princess". I know in her Granny's eyes she does no wrong! Reality is, she is a mess and knows it!

Carlee loves shoes! She especially likes to wear everyone's but her own. She does a good job putting them on the right feet.

I couldn't pass up taking a picture of her adorable hand.

This is the second time we've looked down on the floor and found her asleep. It must be a comfortable floor. She can fall asleep anywhere. I guess Dave was like that as a kid.

Peyton barely rubs his eyes in the morning and he is asking to play his Nintendo. Apparently Dave was like that, and still kinda is:)

Look at this cute little smile! This smile makes my heart smile! He will always be my precious boy!

Please Pray!

Hey no pictures today, but I have something far more important to talk about. Our dear friend Amie, who we have grown to cherish and love, needs a much prayer as she can get right now. A month ago she did an amazing thing for a member of her family. She donated her kidney to a cousin who needed it. Amie is not recovery well at all. She has flown back and forth several times to Baltimore where her surgery took place. She went through another surgery shortly after to remove fluid that had built up. She has not eaten solid food in a month! Can you imagine??? She has been dealing with a lot and could use your prayers. She has to return to Baltimore yet again for another surgery. We need to pray that these surgeons get it right and figure out what they've done wrong! Enough is enough!
Amie, we love you and want you to get better ASAP! Mainly because you deserve it...but also because I want you to gain a little weight. The whole pale, frail Ethiopian thing is totally out:) I wish Dave and I lived close. We would totally have you up and running in no time! Actually you would probably rip a stitch or two from the constant laughing we would do! Love you and Stay strong!

Evening Walk

Good night for a walk around the block!

One of my favorite part about living in Arizona is all the different cactus plants! I think they are really cool!

This one was really cool with the flowers! I am sure they all have names. Maybe I will research that.

This one was huge! Peyton thought this one was the biggest he ever sawed:)

I asked for cute pose....this is what I got!

This was the only shot I got of them sitting in the wagon. Shortly after, Peyton was walking and Carlee was wagon surfing! I don't think there is anything this little girl is scared of!

CLONES!

Buddies....that gang up on Mommy. I seriously wanted good poses!

I asked for a sweet boy face, and this is what I got.

I thought it would be cute to have the kids lay in the grass and take their pictures lying down. Well, that was stupid of me to think Carlee could lay still for a split second.

Peyton however is my good poser. See above picture in front of flowers! Notice the tooth! We have been to the dentist. It is dying, but they will not pull it. So we have to live with gray tooth until he gets new ones. For those that didn't hear, Peyton fell at school a few weeks ago and about knocked his tooth out. It could have been worse:)

Playing around with Black and White!

And Carlee said, "That's all!" Good Night!

House Sitting

Our family has the opportunity to house sit for the summer. We are really excited to have a lot of space to enjoy as a family. We love Grammy and Papaw Chet, we just need our own space for awhile. We each have our own room:) Meaning Dave and I could have separate rooms if need be:) It is going to be awesome when my mom and sister come out for a visit! We are so excited! We enjoyed the "cool" weather today and played in the backyard. Who knows how much longer we will have to be outside before the "real" heat comes:(
Even though I am working a lot this summer, we are still planning to enjoy this house 100 %!!
Here are some pics of us outside today

Water day at School

We had Water Day at school on Thursday. It was not a good day for playing in the water. Just a few days before it was over 100 degrees. But not Thursday. It was cool, windy, and very rainy! I didn't know weather like that existed here in Arizona. The kids still managed to have fun for a few minutes! We only spent about 20 minutes in the water. They wrapped up in towels rather quickly!

Happy 4th Birthday Peyton!!

FOUR YEARS OLD! What a big boy! I have been blessed with a really precious son. It is never a dull moment with Peyton Douglas around. I enjoy listening to him. Lately our conversations are priceless. I wish I could record his little voice using such big boy words. Peyton has never been a kid who talked "baby" talk. We never talked to him like he was a baby. I believe that is why he has such a grown up vocabulary.
Let me tell you about our day: Every year our church rents out Big Surf, a cool water park here in Arizona. We decided to take just Peyton this year to celebrate him turning 4! It was a day devoted totally to him! He had such a blast. It started with the drive there. We have never seen him so excited. He told Knock Knock jokes the whole time. Of course the jokes only made sense to him, but we laughed anyway. We went down every water slide at least twice. He was so brave. He wore his life vest the whole time and didn't need our help. He really acted grown up in the water. A little too grown up for mommy:)

Kallie and Kenzie came along, which Peyton enjoyed most of the time. His cousins love him so much and love to pick him up and love on him all the time. Peyton gets a little annoyed at times!

Before we went to Big Surf we had lunch, cupcakes, and a Spiderman Pinata. Paul, Katie, and the girls came over. It was hilarious watching them do the pinata. We couldn't find anything to hang it on so daddy had to stand in a chair and hold it. Fortunately daddy walked away without a scratch!!

We had Spiderman cupcakes. For some reason Peyton, who is a natural performer, gets shy when everyone focuses on just him.

He loved all his presents!

Thanks Granny and Aunt Bibby...I love my Buzz Lightyear action set:)

Carlee had a good time helping brother open presents!

These are from Friday night. We went to Aunt Katie and Uncle Paul's for dinner. Afterwards we let the kids play in the back yard. Carlee discovered riding the quad all by herself. She can actually reach the pedals all by herself.

Peyton and Kallie enjoyed the pool.

Kenzie is all about Carlee! She's like her little mommy. They rode around the yard for a long time together.

This was taken at school on Thursday. I took Peyton's class cupcakes and little treat bags. He was excited to share his birthday with his friends.
