Happy Easter

He arose! What an awesome gift that Christ is alive and we will see him some day face to face!!
Before I get the pictures of our adventurous morning...I have to tell a story about one of my precious gifts, Peyton. Every year we hide a golden egg that contains a dollar bill. Of course Peyton found it because Carlee was stuck on the one egg she found and wouldn't let go of it!! Anyway...Peyton got the dollar and was eager to get to the store to spend it! Well, he and Dave had to run to the grocery store for a few things, so off they went to spend Peyton's dollar. When they pulled up there was a man standing out in front of the store begging for money. Peyton told Dave that he wanted to go give the man his dollar. ( I have tears as I write this) So, he did. Once he got into the store he turned back because he wanted to tell the man that he got it out of his golden egg! How precious! Dave and I could not be more proud as parents to see our son have compassion for others and a giving heart! AHH!! I love that kid!

Okay, on to more disturbing news; at least for me! I have planned for weeks to take the kids Easter pictures this morning. I was even taking my nieces pictures too! Well, somehow in a weird strange way...my LCD screen broke on my camera! UGH!!! I have had that camera forever! I was so sad!! I kept snapping pictures in hopes that some would turn out....Carlee has been sick all week, so she was a wee bit crabby. Most of her pictures are of her crying, which is okay. Something to remember the day by I suppose. Peyton was cute but said he didn't feel that good either! Anyway...here are the pictures. Hope at least some turned out! As a mom, I need to remember that not everything is going to be perfect...as much as I try and stress about it!

The first pictures are of us at church last night.

UGH!

It's been a few days. My poor Carlee just can't seem to get over this ear infection. At least I think it's her ears. She had to leave school early yesterday because she threw up everywhere. She hasn't eaten much since then, but it drinking. It's so pitiful looking at her. Her eyes are so sad. I hate to admit that it makes me happy just to sit and hold her. I would much rather she her running around or climbing on everything, but my heart smiles when she is cozy in my lap.

Well, March Madness has started! And all women say, UGH! I enjoy watching a game or two...but 3 or four days full of non stop games....give me a break! Dave told me on Monday that I shouldn't expect much out of him come Thursday. So true! As I am sitting here, he is in the chair talking about smart plays, crappy calls, and so on!!

Hopefully this weekend I will get my camera back. I let my sister-in-law borrow it last week for Kallie's School Music Program. I plan on taking the kids Easter pictures myself. I hope Carlee is feeling better.

I've been bitten!

I had my first ever Bunco game tonight! What fun!!! I have now got the Bunco Bug. It is seriously a fun mindless game! I need those kinds of games in my life! Thanks Kathy for invited me!! Next time I will take my camera...if I have time to take a picture. Those women roll fast! I heard the bell and had to sprint back to my table from the bathroom! I didn't win a prize, but I had really good beginners luck...which luck really doesn't run in my family!!

A Day at the Park

What a gorgeous day here in Arizona. It was almost 80 degrees:) I love the weather! Sorry Mom and Libby....I am sure you are sick of the snow.

We had a wonderful time. After church, we decided to take Pizza and invited Kallie and Kenzie (cousins) to come with us. The kids enjoyed the adults taking turns riding on the swings with them. This was interesting, I had never done that before, but Kallie liked to jump up and down on Aunt Allie's tummy....leading me to become sick! Never eat Pizza and immediately swinging.

Enjoy the pictures from the park.

Later on that night, Carlee was walking around in her Princess jammies, when she found Peyton's Colts football. She picked it up with her mouth....and wanted to play catch with daddy. Of course, this made him so proud. He would have preferred his son over his daughter when it came to throw the football, but for some reason, Peyton has no interest in sports. This makes Dave sad....I keep telling him that he has time. So to get Peyton more involved in physical activity, I have decided to sign him up for a tumbling class, then a soccer. Tumbling first because the poor kid has no balance what so ever. Then soccer, because he has no stamina. We are curious as to what happened to this kid....he came from two parents who were very active in sports!! He is proving to love music, which doesn't upset me, because I was into music too as a kid. We'll see what happens! Sorry...I will stop yakking!

Enjoy the pictures of Carlee Jane being her one and only self!!

Sick of Sickness

We are finishing up on an awful round of sickness. Last week both kids were in the doctor's office with ear infections and chest congestion. Dave was in urgent care on Saturday with Pneumonia. The doctor told him if he had waited one more day, he would be in the hospital. YUCK! So, I have been playing the role of Nurse, Mommy, Bred-winner, Teacher, Cook, and Janitor. I love my job! For the last 2 nights I have had 10 hours of sleep. I have been sleeping on the couch so I don't catch the plague!! It has been absolutely gorgeous here the past week. 75-80 have been our avg. temperatures. I took the kids for a wagon ride around the block this afternoon just to get them out of the house. We discovered street lamps. Peyton just happened to notice them for the first time. Please pray for my family right now. For about 3 weeks now, Peyton has had this weird rash just on his nose and forehead. I believe he got it after playing in the sand. I have been doing a little research and their are such things as sand mites. Which could very well be the case. I will try to take a picture of it and maybe some of you can help me figure this out!!

Peyton thinks he can drive

He should have been getting himself buckled in, but he said it was his turn to drive. In this picture he is saying get in Mommy. Yea right!! What a silly head!! Well I am taking care of a house full of sickos. Everyone in this house has been to the doctor this week and are on antibiotics. Fun times
