Lincoln Joseph 3 Months Old

3 months ago today, we welcomed our little fighter! He is growing so fast. He learned to roll over so that's all he wants to do! It doesn't matter where he is, he will roll! No more leaving him on the couch and walking away!
He brings such joy to our family. It fills my heart when I see him and his brother and sister interacting!

You can stop growing anytime now Lincoln! I want you to stay little forever. I want you to giggle every time we say good morning. I want you to cozy with at bedtime forever! I will thank God every single day for bringing you into this world! I could not imagine my life without you.

What's it all mean

One of those days/weeks here in the Carpenter Clan house! Is it living in the desert? The heat must be sucking the life right out of us! Or could it be all the changes in routine? Having a new baby?

It seems that through all the stress of our lives, we both have turned to carbs! Yes, I said it! We are eating our way through the stress. I decided today that I MUST go on a diet. Dave is in agreement. We will start soon, maybe tomorrow. Well, actually it makes more sense to start on Monday, a new week! So that must mean this weekend there are no limits:) I just bought some turtle brownies!

I usually crack under pressure and turn to my strong partner in crime! He calms me down and assures me everything will be okay. What happens if your super strong partner cracks under the pressure?!?!?! What's a girl to do?!?! I am pre-heating the oven now!!

Lincoln 2 Months

This little guy is chugging right along! He weighed 13 pounds at his 2 month check up! He had his shots:( Got a little feverish and cranky from that, but he's a fighter!
In the last week he has started trying to grab things. He smiles so much when you talk to him! I am working this week on getting him on a more consistent schedule. Since I have been home all summer we have been relaxing as much as we can. He sleeps and eats when he wants. He is a true 'baby' of the family. He gets held ALOT!! He's my last so I don't mind as much!! I am working at getting him to fall asleep on his own. That has been challenging, but if he's tired he will do it!

As I type this post, he is lying on the floor beside me with toys all around him. He just discovered his hand. It was raised in the air and he was staring at it:) He kind of went cross eyed for a minute!! Now Carlee, who is half naked, is lying beside him and making him laugh! I reach for my camera and the moment is over:( Oh well!!

How cute is this baby?!?! When he spits his passy out, he sucks on his tongue. Just like his cousin Abby:)

He loves tummy time! He also enjoys falling asleep on his tummy! He tries so hard to roll over! We are so amazed by his determination....he puts his knees under and tries to crawl! This kid is the real deal! We are so proud of all that he can do!!!
