Construction

So the boys, or shall I say men, are here and the work has started! This weekend I 'should' be sitting on my patio with a roof over my head looking out at my yard that is finally complete!!!

I am so glad I married a husband who is capable of getting his hands dirty and using his brilliant mind! If he doesn't know how to do something, he still manages to figure it out! He has saved us a ton of money over the years!! Proud of you babe!!

What a crappy Monday

Today was less than exciting! I didn't have to go to school today, so you would think I would be excited!!

My children require entertaining at ALL times! Having a vacation sometimes really isn't my ideal of a vacation! It was already such a dreary day outside with the nasty weather!

Can I just add that I am so tired of the direction our country is heading! What happened to us??? The health care situation is really starting to TICK me off! It seems that good people who have worked hard their whole lives are the ones who are paying for the screw ups! It is sad to watch!! I hate how so many have stopped taking pride in their homes, lives, and jobs! Maybe the end times are nearer than we think! If we keep going in this direction, I pray that the Lord does come back quickly!!

I have been thinking about expanding my blog to more than a family blog. I started it so that family from far away could watch our family grow. Well, I am convinced that I only have one faithful family member that reads.

I am not sure what changes will take place yet. I read so many wonderfully written and designed blogs! I have a lot to learn! Sunday I spent hours trying to figure out one small thing, and became too frustrated to continue!

Time to wrap it up, my computer is too hot on my lap and it's making a funny noise!

Lincoln 10 months old

This little boy is growing way too fast! He is all over the place. He totally forgot how to crawl. At 10 months he has 8 teeth, climbs on everything, walks/runs all over the house, and already has a temper!

Lincoln Joseph Carpenter, I love you more than anything! You have completed this family. You have brought so much joy into our lives.

Spring Time

So, Spring is here! The weather in Arizona this time of year is absolutely amazing! We are on Spring Break for 2 weeks:) It has been nice to be able to relax and catch up on sleep, enjoy some family time, and tend to some much needed spring cleaning.

We started our vacation with a camping trip to Roosevelt Lake. This was our first camping trip with kids. We decided to leave Lincoln home with Granny. He is not quite old enough to rough it in the wide outdoors:)

We met several other families there. We basically sat around and relaxed while the kids ran around crazy. We are all teachers so it was nice to get away and not have to really think about anything!

It was a rough night for me! I did not sleep much for many reasons; it was FREEZING, I was worried about the kids being too cold, and there were some rowdy teenagers doing what rowdy teenagers do at 1am!!!

We are in the process of finally getting our back yard in order. When we moved in, the previous owners did not do anything to the back yard. They upgraded the inside, which is one of the main reasons we chose this house. Well, we have the concrete poured and the yard grated. Next up, an awning will be built and then some sod. I just hope we can get it all done before our break is over!
