Thanksgiving 2008

Happy Thanksgiving to all! I hope that everyone enjoyed their time with family! I spent time the night before thinking of what all I have to be thankful for. Here's my list:
1. My Family......Although I could not be with my mom and sister I thought of them all day, wishing they were here with me. I am so thankful to have them in my life! They have been with me through good and bad! I am also thankful that they are going to spend our first Christmas in our new house TOGETHER!
I am so thankful that I had a dad who loved Jesus and shared that love with his family. One day I will see him again! Priceless!!!
Dave has been a rock for this family lately! I am so proud of how he works 60 plus hours, taking 2 Master's classes, and being a good daddy to our children.
My first born Peyton is such a sweet and loving child. He truly has a giving spirit. We have watched him blossom into a precious little boy! He keeps us laughing!
My precious little girl brings a smile to our faces everyday! She is for sure the entertainer in the family; a lot like her mommy when she was little. She is a busy little girl bursting with personality. I wish I could keep her small.
I am thankful for how Grammy has allowed us to stay in her home for so long. She has watched over our children so many times with much love and patience. She is a very giving person!
2. I am thankful for Jesus and the price He paid so that somebody like me can one day go to Heaven.
3. I am soooooo thankful that God provided a house for us. We have been praying for so long for the perfect house. We are ecstatic to move in 2 weeks from now.
4. I am thankful to have a job, a warm bed at night, and plenty of food to eat. All things in which I take for granted so many times!
5. I am thankful for all the friendships that I have made over the years. The verse in Proverbs that says "A friend loves at all times" has been proven to me many times in the past couple of weeks. Thank you friends for your faithfulness to me!

We went over to Paul and Katie's for Thanksgiving. It was a chilly and rainy day....love it! It's been so warm here lately. Katie's whole family was there along with our friends Andy and Kaela from our small group. We ate TONS of food, played ping pong, made smores over the fire pit, watched the kids ride the Quads, the women looked at all the ads:), and watched the men play touch football. Here's a slide show of the all the fun!

Home Sweet Home

Our journey is coming to a close! Our offer was accepted and we are ready to sign our papers! That's right, we found our Home!!! We are so excited that God has answered our prayers. We have so much to do in such a short period of time. We are so excited to wake up Christmas morning in our home with our family!

Last weekend Dave and I went to the Western World Championship sprint car race! It reminded me of my upbringing! It felt like home with all the rednecks, and fried foods! My dad took me to races and car shows when I was little. My dad had 3 girls, so I was the son he never had:)
Here are some pictures of the race. They aren't great quality because there was so much dirt. I was sick the next day from all the dirt in my sinus'.

Dave was actually talking to the owner of the car about buying one??? He was even talking about racing one some day?????? Who is this man?? That's not the Dave I know. I asked him later what that was all about and he said, "A man can dream"!!

Happy Halloween!

Here's Peyton doing the Pumpkin Walk...he won!

Carlee at Music Time! They have to stand on circles, of course hers is pink. Look at her face, she acted like she didn't want her picture taken!

Peyton and his girlfriend Harli!

Here's Carlee's class, all have been bitten by her at least once!

Daddy had to carry her all night, she didn't want to get her slippers dirty! Earlier that day at school, she fell on a toy and got a black eye!

Here she is playing ring toss!

Power Ranger down! He fell and hit his head on another kid!

Here's his girlfriend again!

Little Miss Ballerina was too tired for Halloween!

Get this Power Ranger away from me!

Don't mess with me!

An exciting, but stress filled week!

I can't keep up with all that is going on in my life! Going to school, working, and taking care of a family is kicking my butt! I am so full of stress. This week my first class will be complete! It wasn't a hard class, but a lot of work. I felt I learned some valuable stuff...that's always good! I wish I had a break in between classes, but apparently they don't mess around! I forgot just how outrageous buying textbooks really are! What a rip off! Thank goodness for Amazon! I have found most of them cheaper! Dave is just as stressed out if not more! He is finishing up with some tough classes. He will be through in December and do his Student teaching in January. He is excited to be done and finally in a classroom!

Oh, by the way.....we are house hunting! We have been working with a mortgage company for awhile now and things are up and running! We were approved finally and looked at our first homes today! I never really understood the advice of you will know when you see it! Well, we found a keeper! We looked at 3 houses today, and found the one for us! It was a perfect house! I wish I had pictures to show you! It has 5 bedrooms, 2.5 baths and its' 2700 sq. feet! The kitchen was a deal breaker! Granite counter tops and stainless steal appliances....my dream!!! I also liked that all bedrooms were upstairs, but the laundry is on the main level. BUT that's okay because there is a laundry shoot outside the bathroom upstairs! Sweet!!! Anyway, our Realtor is checking on some things tomorrow and will call us when we can make an offer! We are excited! I have not slept all weekend!

Anyway, here are some pictures from our crazy week! Keep us in your prayers that all will go well with this house!

Happy Fall, ya'll! Well, doesn't feel much like Fall here in Arizona! It has been 97 for the past few days! Not much going to the Pumpkin Patch with it being so hot! This poor little pumpkin will probably shrivel up and fall off the table soon!

This is what I discovered earlier this week when Carlee was supposed to be napping! She is a little stinker!

Who me, a stinker??? Mommy's is silly! I am as cute and sweet as can be!!

Here is Peyton after licking a lemon! He's a silly kid!

Here is Peyton and Cody. We watched Cody and his sister Harli last Sunday so that their parents could go to the Dallas Cowboy's game! We are good friends like that!

Here is Carlee looking oh so adorable in her new outfit from Aunt Katie!

She loves shoes, but she hates to wear them for a long period of time!

She is losing her "baby" look! It makes me sad!

Okay so we are having hair issues! She won't leave anything in her hair! I try EVERYTHING! I think she is being stubborn! I will keep trying even if that means pulling what little hair she has out! Just kidding! I would never make her scream and throw fits just to do her hair:) I am sure my mom did to me! Look how I turned out! Hey, maybe that's why I have some wild baby like hairs that always stick up....Mama, did you rip my hair out when I was a sweet little girl like this?????

Saturday was a HOT day! Had I known it was really that hot I might have stayed home! My gym was putting on a Community Day with a bunch of games and prizes for kids! Here is a trainer trying to get the kids to throw this medicine ball filled with sand! We are going to have to work on Peyton's muscles!

Here's Kenzie and Peyton after they went through an obstacle course! Look how hot they look!

Of course there was face painting. I don't know why, but I hate face painting! It's a pain to get off if you leave it on too long! It's way beyond 24 hours and there is still a hint of paint on his face.....but then again Daddy gave him a bath....

He choose to get the basketball to be like his Daddy!

I'm back!

Sorry for the delay! It has been a tough couple of weeks. I have been sick, Dave has been out of town, and lots of homework to get done! Here are the pictures from the last 2 weeks. Enjoy!

These are from today. We had a good time at church. Carlee and Peyton are too cute! I am a lucky Mommy:)

Oh look, there's Mommy. Look how long her hair is getting!

Daddy and his little girl!

We think the weather is starting to change. It was cool when we woke up this morning! Are we done with 100 degree weather! Here's Carlee in her new leggings!

I am not sure what she's thinking here:0)

Okay, so last week Carlee said good bye to her Crib! She's a big girl now! Peyton loves that his sissy is sleeping next to him in a big kid bed! He insisted that their beds be put side by side so that they can talk to each other! A week later, I am not sure that it such a good idea! Night time is fine. But during the day Carlee thinks it's playtime! She loves to get out of her bed and play!

Here she is in her new Tinkerbell jammies and her new Tinkerbell pillow! Thanks Granny and Aunt Bibby for my new gown! Don't I look cute???

Fast asleep!

A few weeks ago we had community day at our Preschool. We had dog trainers come in and show us what their dogs can do for people that are disabled! Peyton loved the Golden Retriever, but Carlee sat safely in my lap!

The fire department also came. Peyton and his friends made them a sign.
