This blog was started as a family scrapbook to share our happenings and growth over the years. I read many different blogs of women from all over the country that have truly inspired me to expand my horizons, be a better mom and wife, try cooking new things, redecorating every room in my house, and so much more! My goal is to make my blog something that others, who may not know me, find inspiring and so much more.

A little bit about Dave, the father of my children
Happy Father's Day!
I am so thankful that my children have a daddy like Dave! It is really hard to have him be away from us, especially this week! Tuesday was our 8th year anniversary! Unfortunately the last 2 years we have not celebrated our anniversary:( Very sad! The year before was when Dave had his accident and this year he is working in Indiana. I just want to say what a sacrifice to leave his family for a month to make sure that we are provided for. It is hard and emotional when we stop and think about it, but if we keep pushing through, time will fly by. Right???? I sure hope so! It's been so great to have my mom here with me! I am not sure I could make it without her help! Peyton and Carlee have clearly started to miss their daddy! Emotions have been all over the place this weekend! We have sent Daddy lots of videos today! We wish more than anything that he were here with us so that we can celebrate his special day.
Happy Father's Day Daddy!

Lazy days
On my days off I spend them doing absolutely nothing!!!! I love it! The kids and I usually stay in our jammies all day long!
Today I was downstairs watching a some TV. The kids were both upstairs playing, quietly.....hmm......So off I went to sneak up on them to see what they were doing. I watched around the corner for a bit(didn't want them to see me because then they would stop and want me to play). I think it is the greatest to see a brother and sister playing so nicely together! They had all their backpacks out and were filling them with toys. They would then carry them to the other room, which they called "Camp Rock". They had all the cushions off the couch and set up all over the room. The couch was their stage. They would take turns jumping and singing songs! I would say they played this for an hour before they made it downstairs to check in. BTW, they have not seen this movie...they are still too young for that type of movie!
Was I happy about the mess they left in 2 rooms upstairs? Not really! Was I happy that they were getting along and using thier imaginations so that I could rest? You betcha!!!!
